MASON CITY – Police in Mason City have released the name of a person who died last week in a crash.
On Friday, September 27, 2019, at approximately 10:44 p.m., Mason City Police were called to a single vehicle crash just south of Highway 122 on California Avenue. One person died as a result of injuries from the crash and two others were hospitalized. A fourth was treated at MercyOne North Iowa and released.
The driver of the vehicle was identified as Tomas Berk, age 24, of Aredale. Berk was hospitalized for injuries sustained as a result of the crash. Madisyn Ensign, age 21, of Dumont, died as a result of injuries received after being ejected from the vehicle. Dominic Clifford, age 18, was hospitalized for injuries he sustained after being ejected from the vehicle. The fourth occupant, a minor, was treated and released from MercyOne North Iowa.
