MASON CITY – The Mason City Alternative School will hold a Career Exploration Fair on Friday, February 16, 2018 from 9:00 a.m.-11:30 a.m. at the Mason City Alternative School, 19 N. Illinois Ave.
Employers planning to participate in the Career Exploration Fair are:
Cargill Kitchen Solutions, DealerBuilt, Henkel Construction, IOOF, Mason City Police Department, Mercy Medical Center – North Iowa, and MetalCraft.
Mason City’s unemployment rate is hovering around 3%. This low unemployment rate is allegedly causing some local businesses – like the Globe Gazette – to have a hard time hiring employees, putting their very existence into jeopardy.

Congratulations on your diploma. Now, find a good job in the trades. Lots of good paying jobs as a machinist, welder, electrician, carpenter and so on.
Hey young adults, there are a lot of good career jobs out there especially tech jobs with on the job training. Utilize all the resources available to you and good luck. Way to go getting that diploma.
