
DES MOINES – The Iowa men’s basketball team defeated UNI by a score of 69-46 at the Hy-Vee Classic in Des Moines, Iowa, Saturday.
Sophomore Nicholas Baer recorded his first career double-double with 11 points and 11 rebounds.
Senior Peter Jok tallied 21 points, boasted by a perfect 3-3 effort from behind the arc. Jok has now scored 20 or more points in seven games this season.
UNI’s 46 points are the fewest Iowa has allowed in a game this season. UNI’s 16 points in the first half are the least Iowa has allowed in any game this season.
Iowa posted its largest margin of victory over UNI since Dec. 5, 2000 – a 74-42 route in Iowa City.
The Hawkeyes return home on Dec. 20 against North Dakota. Tipoff is set for 8 p.m. (CT).
