MASON CITY – A man is guilty of two crimes after police were called to Mercy Hospital in Mason City to deal with his outburst.

Cerro Gordo deputies assisted Mason City police on a call to Mercy Hospital Saturday night, June 4 at about 8:40 PM. The deputies assisted the Mason City Police Department with a combative subject, 24-year-old Max John Lindsay of Mason City.

Lindsay was arrested on charges of interference with official acts and disorderly conduct – fighting or violent behavior, and taken to the county jail.

Soon thereafter, Lindsay pleaded guilty to both charges. He was ordered to pay $592.50 in fines and court fees.

Lindsay was accused back in 2011 with interference with official acts causing bodily injury to an officer, but he pled guilty to simple interference and assault on a peace officer. He still owes over $1,000 in fines and court fees.

Earlier this year, Lindsay pled guilty to felony second-degree burglary and was placed on probation for 5 years. Court records do not yet show that he has been charged with violating his probation as a result of his guilty pleas connected to his deeds at Mercy Hospital.
