DES MOINES – A man was found dead in a Des Moines street Saturday morning.
According to Des Moines police, at 2:04 AM this morning, the Des Moines Police Communications Center received a call about a man lying in the middle of the street with blood around him in the west bound lanes of the 300 block of University Avenue in Des Moines.
Des Moines Police Patrol Officers responded and found a 21-year-old white male deceased from what appears to be a hit and run collision. Des Moines Police Traffic Investigators also responded and will conduct an investigation.
No witnesses to the incident have been located at this time.
Later Saturday morning, Des Moines Police Traffic Investigators alerted that they have identified a possible vehicle description involved in this collision. Surveillance video indicates the suspect vehicle may be a white newer model Dodge Avenger that may have front end damage.
