WORTH COUNTY – A driver attempting to pass another vehicle swerved to avoid a head-on collision Wednesday evening, causing a fatal accident.
According to a report from the Iowa State Patrol, at about 5:21 PM Wednesday, January 21, a driver of a 2005 Toyota SUV headed northbound on Thrush Avenue near 350th Street in Worth county moved to pass another vehicle. The driver encountered southbound vehicle and swerved to avoid a collision, and entered the west ditch. The vehicle struck a field approach, causing it to go airborne. The vehicle landed on the passenger side. The driver was killed.
No further information was released a family is still being notified.
