MASON CITY – A Winter Festival will be held on Saturday, January 31 from 1-4 p.m. at the Lime Creek Nature Center.
This who attend can “beat the winter blahs with an adventure-packed afternoon at Lime Creek!” Scheduled activities include cross-country skiing, snowshoeing, snow bike demo, winter scavenger hunt, survival activity, nature crafts, wood carving and fly tying demos, and more. Participants can enjoy marshmallows and hot dog roasted over a campfire.
A limited number of skis and snowshoes will be available for participants that do not have their own equipment and instruction will be provided for beginners.
This event is free for Lime Creek Nature Center members and $3.00 for non-members over 12 years old. Children must be accompanied by an adult. Pre-registration is required – call 423-5309 to register or for more information.
