HAMPTON – Law enforcement officials issued a limited statement Wednesday regarding a teen who was injured Tuesday afternoon.
On September 2, 2014, at approximately 4:24 pm, the Hampton Police Department received a 911 call reporting an incident at 906 1st Avenue SE in Hampton, Iowa. Law Enforcement and first responders arrived and a juvenile was transported to Franklin General Hospital for treatment.
An investigation was then conducted regarding the circumstances surrounding this report and the injury was determined to be self-inflicted. The Hampton Police Department was assisted by the Iowa Division of Criminal Investigation, the Franklin County Sheriff’s Office and the Iowa State Patrol. No further information will be released regarding this incident.
