WEST PLAINS, Mo. – The NIACC men’s basketball team opened the season with a 90-81 victory over Snead State of Alabama Friday afternoon.
Sophomores David Humphries (Adelaide, Australia) and Matthew Don (London, England) both scored 28 points to lead the Trojans.
The 28 points by Don was a career high. Don’s previous career best was 18 against Clinton last season.
Freshman Al Davis scored 11 points, freshman Conor Lang scored 10 points and sophomore Sam Skogen scored nine points.
NIACC returns to action at 5 p.m. Satuday against Otero Junior Colleg (Colorado).
Note – NIACC coach Mark Mohl is 6-0 in season openers … Humphries has 605 career points.
