WASHINGTON, June 3 (UPI) — U.S. Vice President Joe Biden won’t be hosting his annual beach bash for journalists this summer, Politico reported Monday.
The vice president’s office declined to comment on the record about the decision to cancel the party this summer. In March, the the Obama administration announced it would suspend White House tours “due to staffing reductions resulting from sequestration,” but it is unclear if the vice president’s party was canceled for similar reasons.
Since 2010, Biden and his wife Jill have invited top journalists to their home at the Naval Observatory in Washington for a beach party.
