NABLUS, West Bank, April 25 (UPI) — More than 700 olive trees planted by Palestinians were uprooted by Israeli forces Thursday in the West Bank, a Palestinian parliamentarian says.

Najah Abu Bakr, a member of the Palestinian Legislative Council, said the trees had been planted in Arraba, south of Jenin, the Palestinian Ma’an News Agency reported.

The village is close to the Israeli settlement of Mevo Dotan, the lawmaker said in a statement.

The uprooting was the second this week. On Tuesday, Israeli troops destroyed more than 1,300 olive trees in the Hebron hills in the southern West Bank.
