Rockets from Syria hit Lebanese village

BEIRUT, Lebanon, April 20 (UPI) — A village in Lebanon was struck by three rockets Saturday after the Free Syrian Army sent text messages to residents warning of an attack, officials said.

No casualties were reported in Al-Qasr, The Daily Star of Beirut said. Two people were killed in the village and in nearby Hawsh al-Sayyed Ali by a similar attack.

Syrian rebels say Hezbollah in Lebanon has been supporting Syrian President Bashar Assad and that the rockets are aimed at Hezbollah targets. Hezbollah says it is only defending Lebanese living near the border.

Schools in Al-Qasr were closed after Saturday’s attack.
