CLEAR LAKE – The Clear Lake Lions football team was practicing under the big lights at 6:00 am Wednesday morning.
The dedication and team spirit of the players and coaches was shown this morning when the football field off of Highway 18 in Clear Lake was filled with players and onlookers.
“We’re practicing this morning because of an early dismissal today at 1:00,” said a player who didn’t want to be singled out. “We are dedicated and wanted to get the practice in. The coaches felt it would be better to do this morning instead of waiting the two, two and half hours for the teachers to get done working and having us all come back. It’s the first time this season that we’ve practiced under the lights in the morning.”
A fan was watching the boys play, “They are very competitive and practice hard. I believe they are scrimmaging themselves.”
Clear Lake’s next game is October 12th when they travel to Iowa Falls-Alden.
