Wilbert Walter Eickert, an inmate assigned to the Iowa Medical and Classification Center hospice program, died Sunday, September 9, 2012.
Eickert was 87 years old and died of natural causes.
Eickert was serving a 50-year sentence for Murder-2nd degree from Clinton County. This sentence began on March 30, 1990.
