The location is 703 South Penn Ave. A large pile of branches is sitting in the front yard with a sign saying the wood is free.

I’m thinking of campfire wood, lots of good kindling there.
I’m pretty sure “recreation fires” are still allowed in your backyard. As long as you use a firepit and have a hose close just in case

Burning of yard waste is not allowed in city limits unless you have a special permit. I would recomend that people call the fire department prior to burning or go to the cities website for more information: http://masoncity.net/pView.aspx?id=1084&catid=58
