By Andrew Blankstein, Los Angeles Times –

LOS ANGELES — Whitney Houston died as the result of drowning in what the Los Angeles County coroner has ruled as an accidental death. The coroner said heart disease and cocaine use were also factors in her death on Feb. 11. Cocaine was found in her system, the coroner said.

The ruling ends weeks of speculation over how the pop star died.

Authorities collected several bottles of prescription drugs from Houston’s suite at the Beverly Hilton Hotel, where she was found dead. But officials have said the amounts of drugs did not seem unusually large, leaving it unclear whether the medications had anything to do with the singer’s death.

Houston was found in a bathtub at the hotel a day before the Grammy Awards.

The death certificate, released this month, states that the manner of death was “pending investigation.”

  1. pretty sad when “we” think more of a crack whore, then “we” do of someone who died for our country.
the fact are as a judge once said. “you were the one who done drugs” and the only one to blame is her.
but then again, it seems people rather blame someone else for their problems, instead of facing the facts.
she is the only who did it to her self. so get over the fact an other doper done herself in

  2. What a terrible waste of great talent. Just another reason to eliminate the drug problem. Bobby Brown is the one who should have died.

  3. O WELL and to think that her govenor flew the flag at half mast for this crack whore!!! We have tons of military men and women and others who die and we dont do it for them. Guess she had it coming Just helped control the population of the druggys
