Public Notice: The Hampton City Council intends to fill the Ward I Council Member vacancy by appointment at its January 10, 2012, regular City council meeting.
The electors of Ward I have the right to file a petition, requiring that the vacancy be filled by a special election. The petition must be filed with the City Clerk within 14 days after the appointment is made.
Individuals interested in being considered for the Ward I appointment must return a completed Application for Appointment to City Hall by 5:00 PM, January 5, 2012. The applications may be obtained at City Hall or may be printed from this website by clicking the “More Info” link on this announcement.
