Beginning Monday July 25, 2011 at 7:00 a.m., weather permitting, the Mason City Utility Division will begin Water Main repairs at Highway 122 East and South Rhode Island Avenue.
U.S. Highway 122 East will be reduced to one lane traffic eastbound and one lane traffic westbound between South York Avenue and South Vermont Avenue. South Rhode Island Avenue will be closed between 3rd Street SE and 5th Street SE.
The Water Service will be shut off in this area on Monday July 25th during the hours of 8:00 a.m. to 3:00 p.m. Water services affected will be on South Rhode Island Avenue from the 3rd Street SE to 4th Street SE and on 4th Street SE from South York Avenue to South Vermont Avenue.
The projected time for repairs is expected to be approximately 3 to 4 days.
Expect congestion and delays around this area while the street is under construction. Please watch for construction workers and equipment if you are traveling near the work zone.
