Shots fired in Fort Dodge armed robbery

FORT DODGE – Gunshots were fired and there was one victim today in Fort Dodge after an armed robbery.

On Wednesday, June 21, 2017 at approximately 1:35 PM, officers with the Fort Dodge Police Department were dispatched to 1248 5th Avenue North for a call of possible shots fired. Initial information indicated that someone may have been sustained a gunshot wound.

Upon officer’s arrival at the residence, they found one adult male victim that had sustained injuries from the incident. After speaking with the male victim, he stated that the suspect had caused these injuries, and stole items from his residence. The male victim, whose name is not being released at this time, was treated at the scene and released. Contrary to initial information, the victim had not been injured as a result of a gunshot.

The Patrol and Criminal Investigations Division are continuing to investigate this case and are following up on leads.

how can u say gunshot victim when the story says he was NOT injuried by a gunshot, duh
