MASON CITY – Patriots for Pets out of Clear Lake had a Meet and Greet Saturday at the parking lot of Tractor Supply Company in Mason City.

The Meet and Greet was for people to come and see the dogs up for adoption.  No adoptions were available during the event, but as fate would have it, Sasha, one of the dogs greeting people, found her forever home.

“Sasha found her forever home today. She will have a lot of new human brother’s & sister’s to keep her busy. We will miss her, but this will be the perfect ending to her story. From unwanted to completely loved. Congratulations Sasha!” Patriots for Pets commented.

Jacob Howard, age 4, of Mason City, had a good time seeing all the dogs. He was either getting a kiss or giving one. The dogs were all well mannered, playful and happy.

The Patriots for Pets Rescue and Shelter, Inc. is now located at 805 North 40th Street in Clear Lake.  The organization is looking to raise funds for a building of their own. (see video)

Dinner will be at 6:30 pm and concert at 7:30 pm. This is a super cause with wonderful people involved. I stopped in the other day, was given a tour and they made a new best friend out of me instantly. I’m sure they would appreciate and certainly deserve your support. A great human interest story, so refreshing from all the garbage out there. Thanks NIT
