WASHINGTON – Senator Chuck Grassley today received the Champion for Children Award from the First Focus Campaign for Children, a national bipartisan children’s advocacy organization.
Cara Baldari and Kevin Lindsey of the First Focus Campaign for Children presented the award to Grassley in his office.
This is the third year that Grassley has been recognized by First Focus Campaign for Children. According to the organization, the awards are used to recognize the top 100 members of Congress working to make children and families a national priority.
Grassley is a legislative leader on social welfare policy for children, including making improvements to the foster-care system and encouraging the adoption of children in foster care to permanent loving homes.
