Two Burlington residents were arrested late Thursday night after a neighbor allegedly saw them having sex, naked inside a car.
Eric Michael Walker, 27, was booked into the Des Moines County jail charged with indecent exposure and having an open container of beer.
Besides an indecent exposure charge, Shilah Nicole Martin, 23, was jailed for first-offense drunken driving.
Officers were called out to the 900 block of Oak Street at 11:28 p.m., after a neighbor apparently saw two people, later identified as Walker and Martin, “having relations in a vehicle.”
The caller reportedly told police he was walking past the vehicle when he saw certain parts of Walker’s anatomy through the passenger window.
Authorities said an officer found Martin in the driver’s seat and Walker in the passenger seat. Both were naked and kissing each other, police said.
“We got excited,” Walker told the officer, court papers indicate.
There also was a six-pack of beer bottles on the passenger floorboard, and police said the couple appeared to be intoxicated.
Martin allegedly said she drank four beers. Her blood-alcohol content registered at .228, while Walker’s was .250.
