MASON CITY – A Nora Springs woman was jailed after an incident in a taxi cab in downtown Mason City.
Mason City police were called to the 00 block of South Washington Avenue on April 12 at about 2:10 AM to deal with a complaint. A taxi driver had called police to report a combative passenger that needed to be removed from the taxi. Police arrived and arrested 44-year-old Tami Lee Johnson of Nora Springs. She was charged with public intoxication.
Johnson pleased guilty the next day and was ordered to pay $195.00 in fines and court fees. She pled guilty in 2006 to assault on a Mason City police officer.
