Thomas M. Peshak, 64, formerly of Plymouth, passed away on Monday, February 16, 2026, at the Concord Care Center, Garner. A memorial service will be held at 10:30 a.m. on Thursday, February 19, 2026, at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 N Pennsylvania Ave. A visitation will be held from 4 – 6 p.m. on Wednesday, February 18, 2026, at Major Erickson Funeral Home. Burial will be held in the Bohemian Cemetery, Plymouth. Memorials can be directed to the family of Thomas Peshak.

Thomas was born April 7, 1961, in Mason City, Iowa, the son of Lester and Dotta (Kempthorne) Peshak. He attended North Central School, Manly and graduated in 1979. Following graduation Thomas attended NIACC where he received a Diploma in Welding.
Thomas worked for many years as a welder. Traveling throughout the United States working on various projects. He also ran a small welding shop on the main street of Plymouth. Thomas was known for his love of adventure, going to the casino, playing bingo and visiting with his neighbors. In his younger years, Thomas enjoyed fishing the Shell Rock near his home and gardening. Thomas was a member of the Plymouth United Methodist Church.
Thomas suffered a traumatic brain injury in 2011. Following his injury, Thomas enjoyed living in the community of Dumont for many years. He made many friends around town while riding his bike and living at the Dutchman’s Oak Assisted Living. When Dutchman’s Oak closed, he moved to Garner. He enjoyed the many friends he made while living at Cardinal Grove Assisted Living. Thomas was diagnosed with Grade 4 Glioblastoma in October of 2025 and lived the past months in Concord Care Center in Garner.
Thomas is survived by his brothers; Richard (Deb) Peshak and Doug (Mary)Peshak; his sisters Leann (Glenn) Steiff and Patrice Carpenter; along with his nephews Eric (Jessica) Peshak, Scott (Brenda) Peshak, Jeff (Sarah)Steiff, Robert (Leah) Peshak, Michael (Nikki) Steiff and their families. As well as many extended family and friends.
Thomas was preceded in death by his grandparents, his parents, Lester and Dotta Peshak, brother-in-law, Tracy Carpenter; and his nephew, James Peshak.
