Mason City-Michele Diane Miller-Wubben, age 53, passed away on Tuesday, January 13, 2026, at the University of Minnesota Medical Center in Minneapolis. The family will honor Michele with a private family Celebration of Life at a later date.
Michele was born on December 29, 1972, in Azusa, California, the daughter of Jack and Connie (Conklin) Miller. She graduated from Alta Loma High School in Rancho Cucamonga, California, with the Class of 1991.
Michele had a deep passion for helping others. She pursued higher education at Kirksville Technical School in Missouri, Indian Hills Community College in Ottumwa, Iowa, and Moberly Community College in Missouri. Through her education, Michele became an EMT and Paramedic. She also attended the Police Academy and served as a law enforcement officer in Scotland and Clark Counties.
Michele was blessed with two children, Zachary and Kyndal, with John Kelly. She made her home in Memphis, Missouri, where she raised her children and devoted herself wholeheartedly to motherhood. Michele was an avid photographer she could always be found capturing memories at her children’s school events and activities.
Later, Michele relocated to Pella, Iowa, where she was employed by Vermeer Corporation. Michele was united in marriage to Andrew Wubben on July 15, 2017, at Red Rock Park in Pella, Iowa, and together they made their home in Mason City, Iowa.
Michele enjoyed motorcycle riding, swimming in their pool, and spending time with her dogs. She also enjoyed cooking for others, especially making spaghetti for her loved ones. Above all else, Michele’s greatest joy and love was her family.
Michele is survived by her parents, Connie Rohrbach and Jack (Bonnie) Miller; her husband, Andrew Wubben; her children, Zachary (Terri) Miller and Kyndal (Jacob) Abernathy; bonus children, Samantha Wubben, Stephen Malone, and Lindsey (Tom) German; grandchildren, Kase Miller, Grant and Hannah Parsons; sisters, Lori (Rich) Jackson and Margie (Greg) Carlson; brother, John (Amanda) Miller; mother-in-law, Eleanor Wubben; sister-in-law, Mary (Harold) Stinnett; brothers-in-law, Dale (Rebecca) Wubben and Paul (Heather) Wubben; along with many nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Morris (Tilda) Conklin and Marvin (Eileen) Miller, her aunt, Judy Fry; father-law-law, Jerry Wubben and by her children’s father, John Kelly.
