DUBUQUE – Police were called to this parking ramp in Iowa and discovered a dead man whom had been there for “some time,” according to police.

On June 5, 2025, at approximately 4:47 PM, the Dubuque Police Department responded to the parking ramp at 100 W. 4th Street to investigate a report of a suspicious vehicle parked in the ramp. Officers arrived on the scene and observed a deceased subject inside the vehicle. The body of an adult male was removed from the vehicle and sent to the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner laboratory for an autopsy. The initial investigation showed the vehicle had been parked in the ramp for some time, and there does not appear to be an immediate threat to the surrounding area, police claim.

The case remains under investigation by the Dubuque Police Criminal Investigation Division.
