Floyd County Board of Supervisors Meeting, November 7, 2024, 9:00 a.m.
The Floyd County Board of Supervisors met in the Board Room of the Floyd County Courthouse with the following in attendance: Supv Mark Kuhn, Supv Dennis Keifer, and Supv Jim Jorgensen.
Jorgensen/Keifer moved to approve the agenda as presented. Motion carried 3-0.
Public comment: none.
Keifer/Jorgensen moved to establish a five-person working group to make a recommendation to the Floyd County Board of Supervisors on Floyd County’s Zoning Ordinance Amendments for provisions regulating commercial wind energy conversion systems (C-WECS) and Battery Energy Storage Systems (BESS) and to appoint County Attorney Todd Prichard, Floyd County Board of Supervisor elect Boyd Campbell, Whitfield & Eddy Law Attorney Thomas Reavely, Invenergy Legal Counsel Samantha Norris, and NIACOG Consultant John Robbins to the working group. Motion carried 3-0.
Keifer/Jorgensen moved to approve an Agreement to Mediate presented by Louis Lavorato. Motion carried 3-0.
Jorgensen/Keifer moved to approve the Attorney Fee Contract between Thomas Reavely and Floyd County. Motion carried 3-0.
Jorgensen/Keifer moved to adjourn. Motion carried 3-0.
