HENRY COUNTY – An Oklahoma woman was stopped while driving dangerously, then cops discovered she was intoxicated and carrying a big load of weed for distribution.
On April 15th, 2024, at approximately 7:31 PM, the Henry County Sheriffs Office received a driving complaint of a red Chevrolet Cruze with Oklahoma license plates, traveling westbound on Highway 34 from MM243, swerving all over the roadway.
The Henry County Sheriffs Office observed the reported vehicle on Highway 218 near MM43 traveling northbound above the posted speed limit, while swerving within their lane of travel. A traffic stop was initiated on the vehicle, identifying the driver and sole occupant as, Cynthia Ruiz, 33, of Bixby, Oklahoma.
An investigation into the stop, resulted in approximately 30 pounds of Marijuana being located within the vehicle.
From this incident, Cynthia was arrested for Possession of a Controlled Substance with Intent to Deliver -Class D Felony, Failure to Affix Drug Stamp — Class D Felony, Possession of a Controlled Substance —Serious Misdemeanor and Possession of Drug Paraphernalia — Simple Misdemeanor. She also received citations for Speeding and Improper Use of Lanes.
