OBIT: Maxine Marie Kruger

Maxine Nitcher Kruger, 91, of Grafton, passed away January 3, 2024 after a year long battle with cancer. Per her wishes, a private family inurnment to celebrate her life will be held at the Grafton Cemetery at a later date.

Maxine Nitcher Kruger, 91, of Grafton, passed away January 3, 2024 after a year long battle with cancer. Per her wishes, a private family inurnment to celebrate her life will be held at the Grafton Cemetery at a later date.

Maxine Marie Kruger was born on February 19, 1932. She was a homemaker and farm assistant until June 1970 when she graduated as an LPN from NIACC. She worked for St. Joseph Mercy Hospital as well as the Park Clinic as the OBGYN Department Head. She later worked for Amicare Home Health Nursing caring for terminally ill patients. Her hobbies included quilting, crocheting, embroidery and camping.

She is survived by her children, Jean (Tom Trettin) Kruger, Carol (Ron) Post, and Neil (Laurene) Kruger; her grandchildren, Josh Wehrwein, Nick Wehrwein, Ryan (Tanya) Post, Drs. Jason (Katie) Post, Drs. Travis (Larissa) Kruger, and Drs. Shea (Michael) Jorgensen; as well as 13 great-grandchildren.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Julie Ann; and her husband Edward Arthur.
