Fire doused at Wal-Mart

MASON CITY – At approximately 7:10 am Friday morning, the Mason City Fire Department was dispatched to Wal-Mart at the Indianhead shopping center.

A fire had broke out in the grocery department on a meat cart. Within five minutes, employees had the fire out, but said that it was still active, since they didn’t know how to turn the power off.

Firefighters helped turn off power. Mason City police were also at the scene.
