MASON CITY – A deceased male was found Sunday in a remote area of Mason City, and is believed to be a person reported missing days ago.
On Sunday, March 6th officers responded to the wooded area near 29th and South Washington Avenue on a report from a citizen finding a body. Officers believe that the deceased person is 38-year-old Travis Alan Kummer. Kummer was reported missing on February 18th by a family member.
An autopsy will be performed at the Iowa Office of the State Medical Examiner.
