VENTURA – The Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Office reported Tuesday that an auto accident with injuries occurred around noon near Ventura.
According to a report, at just after noon near 235th Street and Balsam Avenue just south of Ventura, sheriffs responded to a hit and run incident involving a Mason City man and two Thornton residents.
Sheriffs indicated that 19 year-old Evan Stalker of Mason City attempted to make a left turn in front of a southbound vehicle driven by 19 year-old Krista Cordes of Thornton, causing Cordes’ vehicle to enter the ditch. A passenger in Cordes’ vehicle, 50 year-old Deborah Weber, also of Thornton, was injured and transported to Mercy Medical Center North Iowa.
Stalker was cited for failure to yield on left turn.
