AMES, Iowa – The Iowa State women’s basketball team has been ranked No. 22 in the 2012-13 Lindy’s College Basketball preview magazine.
The Cyclones, who return three starters and eight letterwinners, are one of six Big 12 teams in the rankings.
Iowa State, which returns unanimous All-Big 12 player Chelsea Poppens, opens its season Nov. 1 with an exhibition against Northewest Missouri State. Regular season play begins Nov. 11 when the Cyclones play host to Western Illinois.
