Mason City man arrested after assault at local bar

MASON CITY – A Mason City man was arrested after an alleged assault at a local bar.

Luke Andrew Chodur, 39, fled the scene after he allegedly assaulted a Mason City woman at Sportsman’s Lounge on September 4th, 2012 at about 9:37 PM.

A warrant was issued for his arrest and he was finally booked into the Cerro Gordo County Jail on September 16th at 7:50 PM.

Chodur has a lengthy criminal record that includes domestic abuse with a weapon, contempt of court, violation of probation, assault causing injury on a peace officer, controlled substance violations, traffic violations including driving on the wrong side of the road and striking an unattended vehicle and reckless driving, domestic abuse assault (charges dismissed by Judge Colleen Weiland), 5th degree criminal mischief, disorderly conduct/fighting (charges dismissed by Judge Colleen Weiland), other domestic abuse charges, and other charges.
