Fred E. Fox 64 of Rockford, died Thursday June 13, 2024 at his home. Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church in Mason City.

Fred E. Fox 64 of Rockford, died Thursday June 13, 2024 at his home.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am, Wednesday, June 19, 2024 at Trinity Lutheran Church 213 North Pennsylvania, Mason City, and Visitation will be from 4:00 until 7:00 pm Tuesday, at Fullerton Funeral Home, 123 2nd ST SE, Mason City. Officiating will be Rev. Dan Gerrietts. Private family Interment will be held in Fox Ridge Cemetery near the family home. Memorials may be made to the Fred Fox memorial fund.

Fred E. Fox, the son of Vern and Iola (Schademan) Fox was born March 10, 1960, in Guymon Oklahoma.

Fred graduated in 1979 with his GED from NIACC. He was married to Robin Ann Liska on September 3, 1982, in Mason City, Iowa.
He served in the National Guard reserves 1979-1985 with a general discharge.

In 1984 he became a member of National Trapper Associations, he even helped to create a local chapter in Mason City.

He furthered his Career and graduated in 1995 with a computerized mechanical drafting degree from NIACC.

He worked at graham manufacturing from 1997 to his retirement in 2014.

Fred was very active in the Boy Scouts throughout his son’s childhood through their high school graduation. He served various ranks starting as assistant cub master to scoutmaster of troop 1012. He was very active taking the troop, camping, hiking, canoeing and other outdoor adventures. Fred and the troop went to all three high adventures excursions and earned his Triple Crown award. He also served as a merit badge counselor, district commissioner, assistant district commissioner. He received the district merit of honor award, silver Beaver, He join the Fox patrol upon completing wood badge training, and was active with the order of the arrow and receive the highest rank as Vigil honor member.

Fred was an avid outdoors person who loved to fish, playing solitaire, canoe, kayak, woodworking, trapping, and hunting. If that wasn’t enough you could always assisting in the kitchen cooking for many scouting events. He enjoying spending time with his family especially when the Grand Kids arrived, he went above and beyond to spoil them. If you knew Fred, he was a Jack of all trades except for computers, he was the type of person if you called and need help he would drop what he was doing because he had the skills to assist.

Fred is survived by his wife, Robin, of Rockford, two children, Matt (Sydney) Fox, of Mason City, Brian (Hannah) Fox of Davenport; Grandchildren, Finley, Aiden, Milo Fox and Vera Grant; his sisters, Linda Plummer, of Lincoln, Ne. Shirley (Jerry)Berney of Norfolk, NE. Karen (Dave) Galaske, of Omaha, NE, Clara (RodneyHartson) of Ruthton, MN; brothers Lester(Karen) Fox; Vern Fox, Valley Falls, KS. And many nieces and nephews.

He is preceded in death by his parents, Vern and Iola ; stepfather Merlyn Gaffey ; brother-in-law, Keith Plummer ;sister-in-law, Gwen Fox and Evalena Fox ; Uncles lowell Olnes; Marvin and Lester Schademan; nephew, Dan Fox and Jason Cemper; niece, Lynn Fox
