Frank Joseph Flores, passed away on May 25, 2024, in Mason City, Iowa, surrounded by his family. A Celebration of Life to honor and remember Frank will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, beginning at 5:00 pm at the Loyal Order of Moose.

Frank Joseph Flores, passed away on May 25, 2024, in Mason City, Iowa, surrounded by his family. He was born on March 21, 1964, in Albert Lea, Minnesota, to Florentino “Tino” Flores and Mary Cruz.

He graduated from Albert Lea High School with the Class of 1982 and furthered his education at Albert Lea Vocational Technical School, specializing as a Diesel and Automotive Mechanic. Throughout his career, he worked at Crown Auto, Champion Auto Store, Advanced Auto Store, and Auto Value, where his expertise and passion for mechanics shone through.

Family was at the center of Frank’s life. He married the love of his life, Wynnette Willand, on June 14, 2004. Together, they raised a beautiful family and created countless cherished memories. He is survived by his devoted wife, Wynnette, and children: Joseph Flores and special friend, Ashlyn, Anthony Flores, Nick Flores, Sasha (Seth) Holstad, Brittany (Jeff) Heiken, Tyler (Kelsi) Tews, and Heather (Zach) Wynia. His legacy lives on through his adored grandchildren: Kora Flores, Nori Flores, Graham Holstad, Ella Heiken, Andie Jo Heiken, Axton Tews, Emberlee Tews, Caebri Tews, Baker Tews, Dylan Tews, Kray Wynia, Kasson Wynia, Karlee Wynia, and Kail Wynia.

He was preceded in death by his beloved Grandfather and Grandmother, Alfredo and Gregoria Cruz, his parents, Florentino and Mary, and his in-laws, Joyce and Wayne Willand, his brother in infancy, Anthony Lee Flores, his mother and father-in-law, Joyce and Wayne Willand, his nephew Ryan Weisert, brother-in law Jim Christensen, cousin Richard Montanye, aunt Antonia Nelson, and his faithful four-legged companions, Blade, Milo, and Talitha. Frank’s kindness and generosity also touched the lives of many extended relatives and friends.

In his free time, he enjoyed attending wrestling meets and baseball games, cheering on his favorite teams with a passion that was contagious. He found immense joy in spending time with his grandchildren, who were the light of his life. Frank’s big heart and welcoming spirit made friends feel like family, and he was always ready to lend a helping hand or share his wealth of mechanical advice.

Among his hobbies and interests, Frank had a special love for dogs, particularly Boxers. He rescued four Boxers over the years, including his beloved companion, Bowser. Frank’s love for his family, his dogs, and his community was unwavering, leaving a lasting impact on all who had the privilege of knowing him.

A Celebration of Life to honor and remember Frank will be held on Saturday, June 1, 2024, beginning at 5:00 pm at the Loyal Order of Moose 1703 West Main Street, Albert Lea, Minnesota. His memory will continue to live on in the hearts of those who had the privilege of knowing him. Frank’s legacy of love, kindness, and dedication to family will forever be cherished and remembered.
