Eduardo Martinez, 67, of Charles City, passed away Sunday, November 26, 2023 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City.
A funeral Mass will be held at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church in Charles City on Saturday, December 2, 2023 at 10:30 a.m. with Reverend Tom Heathershaw officiating. Burial will be at Calvary Cemetery in Charles City.
Visitation will be from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Hauser Weishaar Funeral Home on Friday, December 1, 2023 and will continue one hour before the service at the church on Saturday.
Eduardo P. Martinez, a good and loving father and husband died on November 26, 2023 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center in Mason City, Iowa. A resident of Charles City, Iowa since 2017, Mr. Martinez was born on October 12, 1956 to Mr. Juan Martinez and Roberta Pascua. They are from Alaminos City Pangasinan Philippines where Mr. Martinez finished his studies and became a teacher in high school and colleges in the same town. His favorite subjects were math and social studies.
In 1977, Eduardo married Mrs. Elisa A. Tabucao, a teacher and principal in Mabini Pangasinan, Philippines. They had three boys and one girl: Bernard John (Zoila), Bernadette (Gerry), Jonard (May Angela) and Mark John (Marijoy). Eduardo also had 11 grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; grandson, Liam Jake Martinez; and daughter-in-law, Zoila Martinez.
