Women’s College Basketball: Iowa hosts Drake Sunday night

IOWA CITY - The nationally ranked Hawkeyes are set to host Drake on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. (CT) inside a sold-out Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The contest will air on FS1 and the Hawkeye Radio Network.

IOWA CITY – The nationally ranked Hawkeyes are set to host Drake on Sunday. Tipoff is set for 6 p.m. (CT) inside a sold-out Carver-Hawkeye Arena. The contest will air on FS1 and the Hawkeye Radio Network.

Iowa leads all-time series 29-25. The Hawkeyes have won five-straight matchups. The series dates back to 1974.
The last Drake road win came inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena was in 2001.

SCOUTING DRAKE
• Veteran wing Grace Berg returns to Des Moines for her final season in the blue and white. The Indianola, Iowa native Berg was named to the Preseason All-MVC First Team. Berg currently leads Drake in scoring with 19 points per game and picked up the first MVC Player of the Week award of the season.
• Drake point guard Katie Dinnebier will again orchestrate the Bulldog offense and lead the perimeter of Drake’s defense. The junior sparkplug was named to the Preseason All-MVC First Team and Becky Hammon Mid-Major Player of the Year Preseason Watch List. Dinnebier’s 18 assists lead the MVC and she is one of just two players to average 6.0+ per game.
• All three of the Bulldogs’ wins have come by a double-digit margin. Drake was an 21-4 in games decided by doubles digits and 1-4 in games decided by 10 points or less last season.
• In their most recent tilt, Drake took down in-state foe Iowa State by an 85-73 mar- gin, snapping a two-game Cyclone winning streak. It was Drake’s largest margin of victory over Iowa State since a 61-36 triumph in 2003.
