Cops nab Mason City man with meth in Clear Lake

CLEAR LAKE - A Mason City man was in downtown Clear Lake and failed to stop for an emergency vehicle, leading to a traffic stop and his arrest for allegedly trying to deal meth.

CLEAR LAKE – A Mason City man was in downtown Clear Lake and failed to stop for an emergency vehicle, leading to a traffic stop and his arrest for allegedly trying to deal meth.

On August 29, 2023, the Cerro Gordo County Sheriff’s Department with the assistance of the Clear Lake Police Department arrested Andrew Joseph Snyder (pictured above), Age 55, from Mason City, Iowa. Based on an ongoing investigation, Snyder was charged with:

– Possession of Methamphetamine with the Intent to Deliver over 5 grams and less than 5 kilograms a class B felony

– Failure to Affix Drug Tax Stamp a class D felony

– Driving While Suspended a simple misdemeanor

– Possession of Drug Paraphernalia a simple misdemeanor

– Fail to yield to emergency vehicle a simple misdemeanor

The case is ongoing and anyone with information about Snyder should contact the Cerro Gordo County Sheriffs Department or their local law enforcement.
