WATERLOO – A male victim was stabbed to death in a Waterloo neighborhood.
On January 26, 2023, at approximately 1:47 AM, Waterloo patrol officers were dispatched to the 500 block of Dawson Street in Waterloo on a report of a vandalism. Upon arrival, officers discovered a male had been stabbed. Officers started life-saving measures, until Waterloo Fire Personnel arrived on scene and took over. The male was transported by Waterloo Fire Ambulance to Allen Hospital. The male later died as a result of his injury.
The name of the victim is not being released pending notification of family members.
Police say a investigation continues into the incident.
