WADENA, IOWA – A Northern Iowa man was busted with child porn after cops led an investigation and searched his home.
After a week-long investigation, the Fayette County Sheriff’s Office filed charges on 66-year-old Lawrence Eldon Reiling of Wadena, Iowa. After a search of Reiling’s home, investigators seized electronic devices and had them forensically downloaded and found visually depicting images of minors in prohibited sexual acts. On July 21, 2021, Reiling was arrested at his home on a warrant charging him with 24 counts of sexual exploitation of a minor. Reiling was transported to the Fayette County Jail and is being held on a $10,000.00 cash bond. Each count is a serious misdemeanor, If convicted, he could face jail time and be required to register on the state sex offender registry.
Sheriff Marty Fisher states this in an ongoing investigation and more charges could result from this investigation.
