MASON CITY – Jacob Krueger announced today that he is a candidate in the September 20 election for the at-large seat on the Mason City Council.
“I have decided to run for Mason City Council at Large for the simple fact that I believe in Mason City,” Mr. Krueger said in a statement on his website. “I believe the most important aspect of representing our city is by listening to the people who call Mason City their home. I believe that this will produce a stronger community where families not only live and work but will also be able to seek even greater opportunity in the future by encouraging growth and development. The future of Mason City is bright and it will be an honor to serve our city as a member of the Mason City Council.”
Krueger joins Max Weaver, Andy O’Brien and Paul Adams as candidates for the at-large seat once held by the late Alex Kuhn, who died on July 15.
Any Mason City citizen interested in running in the election can file paperwork up until August 26.
