Take one man, who has acted in, or produced, or directed, or all of the above, in at least 70 movies. All original, and for the most part, interesting stories. 89 years old, and still going strong. THAT is creativity, a devotion to the arts.
Then you cross the street, and see Disney producing movies that are remakes of their classics, and done poorly at that. NO creativity! And the only devotion they have is to profits, not the arts.
Dick Wolf is another good example of producing and writing good solid entertainment. He not only brought out modern scripts each week, but displayed a great deal of realism using legal or ethical dilemmas. The single hand held camera technique was also an eye opener. THAT was creativity.
I find as time goes on as is the frustration with others here, producers try to put on sizzle without the steak. I am sure there are creative people out there. Why they are not tapped, really confuses me.

It is the nature, indeed the right to observe problems in our community, and ask for them to be corrected. Nothing wrong with that.
And there are many problems in our community. The biggest I see is the blight caused by property owners who do not maintain or keep up their homes and apartments.
Friends and family who drive through our City easily note the lack of upkeep, both with homes, as well as businesses. You have people promoting Downtown, yet allow weeds to grow with impunity.
You have landlords who operate run-down rentals, and derelict properties. You have a City staff that ignores major problems, not just with property conditions, but outright violations of zoning.
Indeed, the State had to step in and correct one issue that was so glaring, so blatant, that is is impossible to not notice.
I see every day, a lot of properties that are very nice, clean, well kept, and actually attractive. That kind of curb appeal enhances a community. I see it even on the North End. People who care where they live. Then I turn the corner, and see houses with trash stored several feet tall on porches and front lawns. People who mow their grass into the street for someone else to clean up (lazy).
Downtown, there are business owners who are trying to keep a nice appearance. Today, I noted two businesses spraying for weeds, and pulling them from even the curb. Yet there are some properties who own deplorable looking buildings, and have done so for years, right in the shadow of City Hall.
In the so-called marquee of the City, there are 24 vacant store fronts as of today. Many of them display weed choked sidewalks, right near the pretty planters they put out. How will that impress visitors? Instill pride in the community? Draw new businesses?
The solutions are not with City government. They begin with each of us.

According to the Bible, the golden calf (עֵגֶּל הַזָהָב ‘ēggel hazāhāv) was an idol (a cult image) made by the Israelites when Moses went up to Mount Sinai. In Hebrew, the incident is known as ḥēṭ’ ha‘ēggel (חֵטְא הַעֵגֶּל) or the Sin of the Calf. It is first mentioned in Exodus 32:4.

*You poor stupid sheep. That bit was a setup on a (supposed) com edy TV show. That vapid tramp Harris couldn’t duel wits with anyone, she’s not a big thinker on her feet. She, nor anyone like her, will ever “get our guns,” there will be one huge, bloody incident when you TRY…and it will be your undoing. *They are so unprofessional for a House Judiciary Committee. How do they expect results, when they treat citizens with disdain and disrespect, rather than trying to pose honest questions and listen to what these folks are saying. A very tacky showing from so-called, professionals.

*Corey didn’t need to be subpoenaed because he volunteered to go in for questioning before they even got the subpoena. He had already gone through over 20 hours of questioning from 3 other groups including mueller. It was awesome watching him make fools out of the democrats
