by Matt Marquardt –

MASON CITY – City Administrator Brent Trout is recommending that Tricia Sandahl replace Pam Myhre as Growth Development and Planning Director for the City of Mason City.  She would take the job on an interim basis and earn a $67,912 salary, a raise from her current salary of $62,400.

Myhre will be retiring effective March 2, 2012; Sandahl would assume the job on March 5th until it is filled permanently.

According to a City Hall memo, Sandahl has been with the Growth Development and Planning Department for several years and “assumed management of the department prior to Ms. Myhre’s appointment as Director.”

The City Council will vote on the recommendation at Tuesday night’s regular meeting.

  1. Have to tell you that I have talked with both Trish and Pam over the years and found them to be as helpful as the mayor and what’s his name…you know, the city manager…would let them be! Pam, enjoy your retirement, it will be more fun than you’re having now. Trish, with your added work…GOD help ya! Thanks to both of you!

    1. And you are a beacon of light to the all-known? Great just what we need in this town… Someone with all the answers and wont share them! Typical hater! Cheese with that wine?

    2. Hahaha. Clearly you aren’t as city hall insider. she’s not a yes person. She will tell you what you need to hear not what you want to hear.

  2. Your dedicated work is/was greatly appreciated! All the best to you and yours in retirement! Enjoy it, you deserve it!
