Robert (Bob) E. Hopkins, 71, of Rockwell, IA, passed away at his home surrounded by his loved ones on Monday, December 15, 2025. Per his wishes, Bob will be cremated and no services will be held at this time.
Bob was born on July 20, 1954, in Iowa City, IA to Harold and Elaine Hopkins. Bob was a very kind and caring man who loved his family and “fur babies” dearly. He very much loved his wife, Sherry, of 35 years; she meant the world to him.
Bob liked to attend his grandchildren’s activities and concerts. He enjoyed fishing, hunting, and watching NASCAR or paranormal T.V.
Bob was very much a family man, he loved family gatherings; especially in the summer when he could fix his ribs on the grill.
Bob is survived by his loving wife, Sherry; three children: Duane Lusch, Geno Stowe (Jennifer) and Tammy Stowe; grandchildren: Tara Ramey, Robert Lusch, Chelsey Cook, Dalton Lusch, Aaliyah Lusch-Maupin, Emily McMahan; 15 great-grandchildren; sisters: Kay (Marvin) Wimmer, Jackie Kilbane, Dixie (Jim) Hopkins-Jeresa, Robin (Jim) Gailey, Kim Showers; brother, Johnny Hopkins and several nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Harold and Elaine Hopkins; niece, Janicee Hopkins; brother-in-law, Bob Kilbane and granddaughter, Tiffany Ehbrecht.
