DES MOINES – An Iowa woman police say committed a violent assault on an elderly person is on the run and could be anywhere, and cops want to locate her before more folks are hurt.

Police in Iowa’s capitol city are requesting assistance with locating 56-year-old Alice Dacken, who has an active warrant related to a violent assault.

According to police, the assault occurred at a residence in the Highland Park Neighborhood of Des Moines on May 5, 2025. The victim and witnesses reported that Dacken entered the victim’s home and violently assaulted the 62-year-old victim, resulting in multiple injuries.

Dacken has active warrants for Willful Injury Causing Bodily Injury (Class D felony).

Dacken is 5’3″ tall and weighs approximately 145lbs.
