Stanley Alvin Sprung, 71, of Plymouth, Iowa, passed away on Wednesday, June 28, 2023 at MercyOne North Iowa Medical Center, Mason City, Iowa. He farmed his entire life.
Roger Stanton, 87, formerly of Greene, passed away Tuesday, June 27, 2023, at Oakwood Care Center in Clear Lake. Roger worked for Oliver in Charles City and then as a Culligan man before he transitioned from part time to full time farming.
Robert “Bob” Freese, 90, of Charles City died Wednesday, June 28, 2023, at the 9th Street Chautauqua Guest Home in Charles City after a long and courageous battle with COPD. Bob was drafted into the United State Army from 1953 to 1955, serving 18 months in Korea.
FORT DODGE – A young man from Fort Dodge accused of being involved in the shooting of two people was recently nabbed by Chicago police.

Ida died June 29, 2023, at the Lake Mills Care Center in Lake Mills, Iowa at the age of 95. She was married to Delmer “Duffy” Haugen January 31, 1948. The couple made their home on the Haugen family farm near Rake, Iowa, where they raised their five daughters.
Clear Lake- Patricia “Pat” O. Galasso 69, died Monday, June 26, 2023 at her home surrounded by her family. Pat graduated from NUHS in the class of 1971, Cedar Falls.
Frieda Rose Naber, 91, of Mason City, passed away Monday, July 3, 2023, at the IOOF Home in Mason City. On November 18, 1949, Frieda was united in marriage with Dale Naber at Osage, Iowa.
