David Allen Galindo, 58, of Mason City, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center-North Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 20, 2024 at Major Erickson Funeral Home.

David Allen Galindo, 58, of Mason City, passed away Saturday, May 11, 2024 at MercyOne Medical Center-North Iowa. Memorial services will be held at 10:30 AM, Monday, May 20, 2024 at Major Erickson Funeral Home, 111 North Pennsylvania Ave, Mason City, with the Rev. Ben Valentine officiating. Inurnment will follow in the Elmwood-St. Joseph Cemetery. Visitation will be held from 3 until 6 PM Sunday, May 19, 2024 at the funeral home.

David was born on November 4, 1965 the son of Brian and Mary (Young) Galindo in Dallas, Texas.

David has worked the last 10 years at IMT in Garner where he had made numerous friends. He loved rock music and was known by all to have the volume turned a little to the right which often times drew complaints from the neighbors. He enjoyed having a bottle while cooking on the grill. David often said “the “Captain” ran the ship”. His latest hobby was playing pool and was game-fully competitive.

Those thankful for having shared in David’s life include his children, Quintin (Rebecca Soma) Galindo, Hayley (Cameron) Hove, Chandlor Galindo; grandchildren, Avery Galindo, Cora Hove, Aubrey Hove; and numerous extended family.

David was preceded in death by his parents, an uncle, Charlie and an aunt, Rose.
