MASON CITY – For the second straight game, Chett Helming and Myles Tucker both scored at least 20 points each to lead the NIACC men’s basketball team to victory.

Helming and Tucker both scored 20 points to lift the Trojans to a 83-77 victory over the Luther College Junior Varsity Monday night in a non-conference contest in the NIACC gym. Helming and Tucker both grabbed six rebounds.
Last Saturday, Helming and Tucker both scored 29 points in a 78-73 victory over No. 11 Kirkwood.
Also for the Trojans, Jaydin Dunlap and Kenny Quinn both scored 10 points. Dunlap also had eight rebounds, three assists and three steals.
NIACC’s Koen Derry scored eight points and collected six rebounds.
NIACC (8-11 overall, 2-5 in the ICCAC) returns to action Wednesday at home against league-leading No. 16 Iowa Lakes (14-5, 6-0) in an ICCAC contest. Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 7:30 p.m.
