MASON CITY – NIACC sophomore Myles Tucker was selected as the ICCAC men’s basketball player of the week for the week of Jan. 2-8.
Tucker shared the honor with Iowa Lakes’ Jeremiah Burke and Iowa Central’s Darius Henderson.
Tucker scored a career-high 38 points in NIACC’s 94-92 win over Iowa Western. Tucker was 8 of 19 from the field, including seven three-point goals, and was 15 of 19 from the free-throw line.
His 38 points is tied for 10th on the school’s all-time single-game scoring list.
Tucker also scored 19 points in a loss to Northeast CC.
It was the third time in his career that Tucker has been selected as the ICCAC men’s basketball player of the week. In the 2021-22 season, he won the award for the week of Nov. 29-Dec. 5 and for the week of Feb. 21-27.
NIACC (6-11 overall, 1-5 in the ICCAC) returns to action Saturday at home against No. 11 Kirkwood (13-3, 3-2). Game time in the NIACC gym is slated for 3 p.m.
